8Star Motorsports has created a driver development program, the 8Star Academy – the cutting edge for learning, coaching and development to bring completion to young drivers in multiple levels of endurance and open wheeled car racing.

Following in the footsteps of programs started by Red Bull, Nissan with its GT Academy and Tesco’s KX Akademy, 8Star Motorsports is looking to nurture the World Champions of the future from the ground up, from driving to media, commercial and more.

Renowned for attracting world-class driving talent, including 2012 FIA World Touring Car Champion Rob Huff, former Formula 1 and current sportscar star Anthony Davidson and renowned French racer Stephane Sarrazin, 8Star’s vision is to create a lasting legacy by nurturing aspiring racers through its newly-established academy.

The Enzo Potolicchio-led team has designed a multi-step competition ladder to help prospective endurance racers progress in their careers and its entry in the Cooper Tires Prototype Lites Championship provides young hopefuls with an opportunity to hone their skills in entry-level high-downforce machinery, before graduating to the headlining TUDOR United SportsCar Championship.
